Victoria C. Mwanziva (Under Secretary General, Caucus 3 : Energy Acess and Use) Victoria is a 21 year old second year University of Dar-es-salaam student pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and International Relations. Born in Volgograd; Russia and raised in Tanzania has made this young lady a trilingual ripple of culture. Highly diven by determination and ambition she looks forward to learning through new experiences and believes that it is never too late to choose to transform ones life through advocation of positive thinking and attaining an innovative perspective, That is why she is deeply devoted to Activism through her passionate participation in community development through the United Nations Chapter of the University of Dar-es-salaam and involvement with the Youth of United Nations Association since Secondary School and her involement with the Kigamboni Community has overall set a mark on the fact that interlinking the community and developing it are her priorities in her long term career expectations which include education advocacy and providing a platform for the youth to learn, experience and have an opportunity to be a part of ensuring that sustainable development is reached. Miss Victoria is exited about and has great expectations on the EARMUN 2013 and hopes that all the participants use this opportunity to network, learn and actively participate so that our voices as the youth get to be heard and the impact will be able to solve the rooted issues which are barriers to sustainable development to our planet, She firmly believes that sustainable development and positive change can be advocated only if we think at a broader perspective as a collective.

A young dynamic lawyer and petroleum resources nationalist. John has a Bachelor Degree of Law (LLB) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP) from the Law School of Tanzania, qualifying to be become an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. He is a researcher and analyst in Oil and Gas Law and Policies, an active member of Hakirasilimali Group in Tanzania. He has recently conducted series of consultation work with YUNA in Energy and Climate Change in East Africa. He served as Executive Secretary of Ubungo Development Initiative since 2009, and he now works with own established Power Advocates law firm. He is a member of United Nation Association of Tanzania (UNA) and Youth of United Nations Association of Tanzania (YUNA) since 2008. He is has been actively involved in youth activism within and outside Tanzania. He is a graduate of Program for Young Politician in Africa Academy (PYPA) sponsored by the Christian Democratic Party of Sweden. He played an active role in the drafting of Tanzania Youth Council Bill (still in the Parliament). He conduct capacity building and training and consultancy projects for communities, CSOs, Corporate and Government Instituions in areas of Constitutional law, and Democracy, development policies and education.

Emily Kwamboka is a human rights defender and community organizer in the Mathare area of Nairobi, Kenya. She is a member of Bunge La Mwananchi, a Kenyan grassroots movement which fights social injustice, promotes accountable leadership at all levels, and advocates for police reform as a way of promoting security at the grassroots level. I’m LUNODZO MWINUKA from Ilembula-Njombe, currently studying Form 6 EGM at Songea boys’ secondary school in Ruvuma. I’m 19 years old. I have studied at Igelehedza primary school in Wangong’ombe district. I joined UN clubs on May 2012 as soon I joined my Advanced level studies at songea boys’ and that was after been interested with an introductory notes on UN clubs, YUNA and UNCTN from UN club songea boys. When the time reaches for Election I contested as the Club chairperson and i won the election. Was not an end, I contested the Cluster leadership too, as the chairperson again but here I failed the election, but i was selected as the Cluster coordinator. I attended the first TIMUN in 2013, April which was held at Pius Msekwa hall at Dodoma as a Delegate, there i learnt a lot of things especially on the concept of Millennium goals. During the conference i also attended the UNCTN summit where we hold an election and i contested as the Vice chairperson, i failed an election but i was selected as an EXCOM member at which i’m working now.

Meckson Lorden Nzogela is the student of Ardhi University pursuing BSc. Land Management & Valuation and is the currently the United Nations Chapters National Treasurer (Tanzania). He is a self-motivated, self-driven, multi-talented young leader. He is interested in diplomacy and the workings of the UN. He has been representing Tanzania and Africa to different international meetings and forums worldwide since 2006. His background with Model United Nations activities is traced back from the 1st session of Tanzania International Model United Nations General Assembly that was held at Pius Msekwa Hall in Parliament House of Tanzania. Being the Rapporteur of the 2013 Eastern Africa Regional Model United Nations Conference, He is envisioning towards meeting new young leaders who will be debating deliberately while delving deeper into the roots of this year’s conference themed on “Energy and Climate Change Post 2015- Youth Envisioning towards Sustainable Development”. In his own words, “I am looking forward to seeing the hot debates during the caucuses and I will be there to blog everything that will be resolved”
Maggie Ngwira
Malawi
Maggie Ngwira is a qualified passionate Educator with experience in providing secondary school education and training facilitation. Currently working with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, as a teacher, she is also an administrator for Center for Youth and Development (CYD). CYD is a local youth-led organization that strives to improve the welfare of youth through capacity building, advocacy and promotion of participation. Maggie is a firm believer in youth investment, not just for tomorrow but for today too. As such she has taken up roles to nurture the potential and asset presented in youths. She was a Class Coordinator for the just ended 2013 edition of Commonwealth Youth Programme Discovering Young Leaders Program (DYLP 2013). And she is a past volunteer online support-Country Coordinator for Iduka Corporation; a non-profit micro financing organization that aims to provide financial assistance to post-secondary education students. Maggie holds a Bachelor of Education majoring in Geography (2009) from the University of Malawi. She is also a member of National Youth Network on Climate Change (Malawi), World Youth Alliance-Africa, and a Discovering Young Leaders Programme 2012 alumnus. She loves everything artistic like poetry, jazz and breathtaking scenery.

I am a first year student taking bachelor of law at Mzumbe University, Main campus. I have so far been a UN member since 2009 at Tusiime high school and have been an active member attending various activities held by UN. Due my membership at Tusiime, I have been an environmental leader, and then after was chosen as the chairperson of ilala cluster committee. TIMUN 2013 was my first model UN to attend, it was an active conference where various matters were debated and finally came up with strong resolutions that have positive impact to the society. It is to my belief that the EARMUN 2013 will be a much more successful Model UN with smart and concrete resolutions. Thank You very much.
